valkpr

What did the money buy, what did it become, and was it worth it?

valkpr traces each payment to the thing it bought, what that thing became, and whether it paid off, across the bank, the books, the CRM, e-invoices and the receipts in your chat. It keeps one reconciled record, finds what is missing, and tells you where money is leaking.

One cement delivery, traced

Worked example from our research on Vietnamese fit-out jobs · sample numbers, no real customer

What did it buy?

40 t of PCB40 cement, invoiced

  • 36.5 t weighed on deliveryweighbridge ticket · delivery note photo
  • 3.5 t invoiced, never deliverede-invoice XML vs weighbridge
What did it really cost?

More than the invoice

  • Paid in cash, so the 8% VAT on it cannot be reclaimedVietnam: payments of 5M VND or more must be non-cash
  • 5% retention still open for 12 monthssubcontract terms · cost is provisional until released
What did it become?

62 m³ of foundation, accepted

  • Month-end balance: delivered = used by norm + in stock + 1.1 t unexplainedacceptance minutes · stock count · material norm
  • Why 1.1 t is missing is a judgment, and it goes to the site ownerflag with the documents attached
Was it worth it?

Waiting on the owner

  • Estimate P50 1.20bn VND against the cost so far, per stageestimate recorded before the job started
  • The next estimate for this foreman comes with a corrected rangelearned from how far off past estimates were
fact: recorded from a document policy: the result of a stated rule forecast: can be checked later judgment: someone's call, with their name on it

Most money is lost before and after the analysis

What our research across 16 areas, from construction to software and grants, kept finding

before

The record is wrong or incomplete

  • The same payment sits in the bank, the books, the CRM and an e-invoice
  • Credit notes, customs and retention arrive months later
  • Receipts in chat that nobody can check
the analysis

Where most tools stop

  • A category and a total
  • A dashboard of this month
after

Nobody acts, nobody learns

  • A finding with no owner
  • The decision is never written down with what was expected
  • The next quote is as wrong as the last one

How valkpr answers

The design as it stands after our research · nothing below is built yet

One record, no double counting

It reads the systems you already use and recognises the same payment, invoice, supplier or item across them. Matches are linked with the reason for the match, never merged, so a wrong match can be undone.

The true cost, and how final it is

Freight, duties, VAT you can't reclaim, discounts that arrive later and money held back are all part of the cost. Each figure says which cost it is, how much of it could still change, and until when.

Facts kept apart from opinions

A delivered quantity is a fact. A cost spread across projects is the result of a rule you chose. "Was it worth it" is a person's judgment with their name and reasons. valkpr stores each kind separately and never hides one inside another.

Leaks flagged while they are small

Invoiced but not delivered, used above the material norm, a supplier price above the usual, a cash payment that loses the VAT refund. Each flag goes to a named person with the documents attached.

Estimates that learn

Every estimate is kept and compared with the final cost. The next estimate comes with a range corrected by how far off similar ones were, per person and per kind of work.

Captured where work happens

A photo, a voice note or a statement sent in chat becomes a proposed entry for someone to confirm. It works alongside your accounting system and never replaces it.

Who we want to talk to first

If one of these is you, we would like 30 minutes of your time. We are listening, not selling.

Where valkpr is today

Done

  1. Research. 16 areas, each checked by an independent reviewer: true and final cost, identifying items, attribution, value for money, construction, software, grants and more.
  2. The data model. Built on existing standards for recording exchanges, events and provenance, so your data can come in and go out in open formats.
  3. A sister product in use. finkpr already keeps multi-currency books from chat, and will be one of valkpr's sources.

Not built yet

  1. The product itself. We build the first version on our own spending, then with one company that pays for a pilot.
  2. Connections to your systems. Open file formats first, then the accounting and CRM tools our first users rely on.
  3. A construction pilot. We are looking for one firm in Southeast Asia to shape it with us.
